AGROYOUTH
The boost of the agriculture sector among young people.
Together with our partners from Pacto Verde (a non-profit organization for social and environmental innovation based in Andalucia, Spain), we intend to promote the agriculture sector among young people. We aim to connect around a regenerative, resilient, and decentralized approach to ensure generational renewal and guarantee food security.
For whom is AGROYOUTH?
Currently, few young people consider a career in agriculture. There is little interest and little encouragement for young people to choose agriculture as a career. Young farmers should ensure the continuity of an economic sector that is considered to be of enormous importance for Europe. Generational change in rural areas, together with the promotion of innovation and digitalisation, is essential to ensure a sustainable future in economic, social and environmental terms. It is of great importance that young people are integrated into agriculture and find access to a future in the agricultural sector.

In his presentation, expert Bernd Robbert from the Salez Agricultural College provided an overview of current technologies and background knowledge on smart farming in his talk on the 17th of June 2023.
AgroDirect.
As part of our "AGROYOUTH" project, we have the opportunity to take part in a study trip to Spain in Spring 2024 organised by our partner organisation Pacto Verde to get to know modern farms in practice.
DigitAgri. Trainingcourse
Our training course from the 19th-22nd of October 2023 on "Digitalisation and Innovation in Agriculture" was realized in collaboration with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), the Klaus Büchel Institute (KBA) and the Salez Agricultural Centre. We gained insights from milk production, to regenerative vegetable cultivation, to Agri-PV, to robotics and sensor technology in agriculture and much more.
We offer interested young people the opportunity to take a deeper look into the "agriculture of tomorrow".
