In cooperation with the Masterclass of Formatio Private School
Focus on Collaboration and New Perspectives
The core of the week was the collaborative development of our project with five committed young students from Formatio and representatives from business, education, politics, and youth work. Intense discussions and reflection sessions not only provided us with valuable new perspectives but also strengthened and expanded our network.
"Young Voices, Strong Impulses" Conference
The week kicked off with the "Young Voices, Strong Impulses" conference on Monday, a key highlight. It offered a platform to make the concerns and ideas of young people visible while setting the course for future cooperation opportunities. The in-depth engagement with the needs and visions of young people underscored the importance of actively involving them in decision-making processes. Various stakeholders reflected on how existing structures need to be adapted to unlock the untapped potential within Liechtenstein.
Impact Group Meeting
A central component of the week was the Working Group meeting on Tuesday, where key figures from the project network gathered to plan concrete steps for the project's future direction. The close collaboration and eye-level exchange demonstrated the power of a co-creative process. Each participant was able to contribute their expertise to jointly explore new paths that could lead to sustainable solutions for the future.
Insights from Youth Feedback
Through active dialogue with the young participants, we realised that beyond participation, they have a strong need for accessible, quick information. They are highly sensitive to advertising, preferring to receive important information through friends, school, and family. They are aware that social media serves more as a pastime or entertainment rather than a trustworthy source of information. Moreover, they feel a lack of connection with their local communities and observe gaps in the flow of information.
Visits to Youth Organisations
Alongside these core elements, visits to AHA – Youth Information Liechtenstein and Vorarlberg, jugend.digital, and the Office for Voluntary Engagement Vorarlberg (FEB) provided valuable insights for our work. These visits highlighted how digital participation and voluntary engagement can be strategically harnessed to further promote youth participation and expand opportunities for involvement.
Key Takeaways and Future Goals
The week made it clear that the potential for effective information and influence among young people in Liechtenstein is far from fully realised. The youth demonstrated their willingness to participate actively – now it’s up to us to provide the necessary space and structural framework. Expanding and strengthening our network of stakeholders from business, education, politics, and youth work is crucial to fully utilise and sustainably foster this potential.
A Call for Collaboration and Lasting Change
This week was clear evidence that genuine change can only be achieved through dialogue and collaboration. The strategies and ideas developed together show that sustainable and positive development is only possible when all participants – from young people to established stakeholders – work together, bringing their strengths to an interdisciplinary framework.
